What is Brand Loyalty?

Brand loyalty is an emotional bond with customers encouraging them to purchase your products again and again, even at higher prices than similar products from competitors. Your loyal customers are your evangelists, your advocates… They believe in you and your idea!

This strong commitment to a company is based on customers’ experiences and perceptions of the brand. So how do people become loyal to brands? It happens as a result of the company’s focus on building meaningful relationships with customers. I can’t command my customers to love my products, but I can say the right things and deliver the right experience to make them feel that way. That is the art of branding.

Customers become loyal when a company understands their needs and aspirations and knows how to constantly and consistently deliver on and exceed their expectations better than anyone else.
One of the examples of a strong client oriented brand is the Emirates Airlines.

It is not just because of their excellent loyalty program Skywards, but because of the overall experience that a person get: lounges at the airports, pick-up service, comfortable planes, food, movie selection, conflict management, visual style, advertising –– the entire customer journey is carefully thought through and developed by this brand.
